KIISHTI · USING OUR LIBRARY WITH CARE

Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 16 October 2026

A devotional reading space created to help people, with respect for our community, our readers and the people behind every original work.

1. Our purpose

kiishti is an independent digital library created to help Dawoodi Bohra readers access books, duas, sahifas, haftis and other devotional readings. Our aim is to support personal reading, learning and prayer, and to make familiar texts easier to find. By using this website, you agree to use it in line with these terms and applicable law.

2. Original texts and ownership

kiishti is not the original author or owner of the third-party religious texts, books, scans or publications displayed in the library. These readings form part of the Dawoodi Bohra community’s devotional and literary heritage. Any copyright and other legal rights remain with the respective original authors, publishers or other lawful rights holders.

Materials have been gathered from internet sources and existing digital copies. For some items, we have not been able to verify the original author, publisher, source or rights holder. We welcome reliable information that helps us improve attribution. An unknown author, missing copyright notice or publicly available internet copy does not mean a work is free of copyright.

Our website branding, covers and organisation do not transfer ownership of the original texts to kiishti. Displaying a work does not imply its author’s permission, endorsement or affiliation with this website.

3. Reading, downloads and sharing

The library is intended for personal devotional reading and learning. Please respect any rights notices in the original publications. A reading or download button does not grant a copyright licence. Copying, printing, sharing, republishing, selling or reusing material is allowed only where the relevant licence, rights holder’s permission or applicable law permits it. These terms do not grant rights that kiishti does not hold.

4. Religious guidance and accuracy

kiishti helps readers access existing texts; it does not issue religious rulings or replace guidance from authorised Dawoodi Bohra religious authorities. Please refer questions about prayer, recitation, interpretation or religious practice to an appropriate authorised source.

We aim to preserve original scanned pages. Source files may contain unclear scans, omissions, damaged pages or errors. Website titles, covers and categories are reading aids. Please check important details against a reliable original edition and bring any concerns to the administrator’s attention.

5. Attribution and removal requests

If you are a rights holder or authorised representative and believe an item should be credited differently, restricted or removed, please see our Contact Us page for the current contact status and details for reaching the kiishti administrator. Identify the book and its website address, describe your concern, explain your relationship to the work and provide supporting information and a way to reply.

We will review requests in good faith and take appropriate action, which may include correcting attribution, restricting access or removing an item. Our intention to help readers does not override the rights of an author, publisher or other lawful rights holder.

6. Respectful and lawful use

Please treat religious materials and other readers with respect. Do not misuse the website, attempt unauthorised access, interfere with its operation, distribute harmful software, bypass access restrictions or use the library for unlawful activity. Access may be restricted where necessary to address misuse or protect the service.

7. Availability and responsibility

The website and its files are provided as available. We cannot promise uninterrupted access or that every source file will be complete or error-free. Features and materials may be corrected, changed or withdrawn. To the extent permitted by applicable law, kiishti is not responsible for losses resulting from interruptions, source-file errors or use outside these terms. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limits your mandatory legal rights.

8. Reading preferences

The current reader saves bookmarks and reading progress in your browser on your device. Clearing browser storage may remove them, and they do not automatically follow you to another device. We attempt to identify your approximate city from your internet connection using Cloudflare and, when necessary, a browser request to BigDataCloud. This is used to show local dates and timings; it may be inaccurate on mobile networks or VPNs. If you enable precise location, your coordinates are sent to the location and timing providers named in the prayer panel. GPS coordinates are not saved by kiishti; manually selected cities are remembered in your browser. Please avoid sharing sensitive personal information in any message or report about the library.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the library develops. The date above identifies the current version. Please review the terms when they change. These terms do not replace applicable law or any rights attached to an original publication.
